Joanna is an Associate Professor at the Faculty of Law at the University of Auckland. Her principal teaching and research interests lie in the fields of health care law, torts and accident compensation. She has published widely on issues of health law, policy, ethics. She is a contributing author of the textbook, Medical Law in New Zealand (Skegg and Peterson, eds, Brookers Thomson), which was awarded the Legal Research Foundation J.F. Northey annual prize for best Law book published in NZ in 2006.
